AMV BBDO London's Escape the Map for Mercedes scoops top prize

The Marketing Agencies Association announced the winners of its annual Best Awards at the London awards ceremony last night. AMV BBDO London's work for MercedesEscape the Map, won the Best of the Best prize as the most outstanding piece of work in addition to winning the honour for the Best Digitally led campaign.

Paddy Power's Sky Tweets, via CURB London, won in the categories Best Innovation and Best Creative Ambient Media. RPM London's sail-in cinema for Diageo picked up the award for best experiential campaign.

Youth engagement agency Livity won the title as agency of the year, picking up three awards for its Channel 4 work.

'Innovation was the key theme amongst this year's winners. We saw cases that stood out, not because of large budgets, but because they were left-field, very well executed, made innovative use of communications channels and harnessed in an utterly cohesive way. Others did something completely different in categories that are hard to stand out in, by thinking outside the box while still being true and genuine to the spirit of the brand,'  said Charmaine Eggberry, chair of the client judges and formerly global senior VP of marketing at Nokia.

A public exhibition of the Best of British Marketing will run between 11- 24 March in the entrance foyer of the Guardian Newspaper's offices at Kings Place. A full list of winners can be found here
