FutureFlash 2011 / Innovation, Rebirth & Reinvention

Contagious and Canada's ICA team up for an engaging two-day conference.

Once again Contagious is venturing to picturesque Collingwood, Ontario, Canada to join the Institute of Communications Agencies at its marquee event, FutureFlash, at the Westin Trillium House May 12th and 13th. 

This year's theme is Innovation, Rebirth and Reinvention and we've helped the ICA  put together an impressive roster of speakers who've been changing the nature of our work as communications professionals and stretching the boundaries of the business we're in.  

One emerging theme is the expiration date of ideas. Our own Paul Kemp-Robertson will be talking about developing 'Projects, Not Campaigns' to make enduring marketing and David Lee, digital ECD at TBWA\Worldwide will talk on his company's work in creating its portfolio sharing platform Projeqt in a talk called 'Creating things born to live, not built to die'. 

Meanwhile, Gareth Kay, director of brand strategy at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners will tackle little ideas in 'Why advertising needs to think small', Ty Montague, co-founder of Co:Collective will talk about his company's new model and 'Story-led innovation. What the hell is that?'. Noah Brier, former head of strategic planning at The Barbarian Group will introduce his start up Percolate and talk about changing how we perceive brand curation and publishing in 'Marketing in Flow' and Charlie Todd, founder of Improv Everywhere will explain how his group has successfully caused many scenes and how the fundamental premises of improv can impact real-time marketing efforts. 

Meanwhile, Nick Broomfield, director at The Customer Framework (and former head of Diageo's global digital marketing) will outline the need for the strategic integration of 'Social CRM' into brand marketing plans and explain how to avoid the lure of easy data.
