Contagious / Singapore Office Opening Soon

Contagious' latest office is opening in Singapore in January, headed up by Roger Mulchandani

Contagious' Singapore office will officially open on 2 January 2014, responding to demand from clients and reflecting the rapid increase in smart, innovative marketing coming out of the region. 

The office will be led by Roger Mulchandani, previously commercial director Asia Pacific at WARC. Mulchandani has a great deal of experience in the region, having spent the past decade in a variety of roles covering financial services, consultancies and marketing companies. 

He says: 'I'm really excited to be part of launching Contagious in Asia. We've been working with many of the major brands and agencies in the region for the last few years, and are looking forward to further cultivating this network in the years ahead. We're also keen to share even more Asia Pacific stories and trends with the rest of the world, particularly as Contagious' I/O platform provides an excellent virtual space for marketers to interact with and learn from the leading advertising campaigns.'

Contagious co-founder Paul Kemp-Robertson says: 'Editorially, Contagious has always featured the most technically innovative and creatively brilliant work to emerge from the Asia region. We're excited to now have an operational base in Singapore which will allow us to get even closer to the brightest minds and best ideas from this part of the world. Contagious has always had a global, curious mindset and this move is further proof of that.'
Mulchandani agrees: 'We've seen such a rapid increase in smart, innovative marketing campaigns coming from both the "mega markets" of India and China as well as from the high-growth markets like Thailand and Indonesia, where mobile technology plays such a key part in the marketing mix. Given that each market is so diverse from the other, it becomes extremely important for advertisers to know which are the most important trends and consumer behaviours to act upon.'

'And Contagious' brand of qualified insights and consulting will certainly hit its mark for these needs. It's less about what we can expect from the industry in five or 10 years, and more about what's going to happen right around the corner. Given how quickly this region's markets tend to move, I feel that Contagious will be a great asset to marketers in Asia Pacific.'
