Contagious attends 2013 Lovie Awards
Named after Ada Lovelace, the woman credited as being the first computer programmer, the Lovie Awards celebrating digital innovators in Europe took place this week in London.
Now in its third year, this year's Lovies saw special achievement awards going to French guerilla photographer JR, named 'Artist of the Year' and mobile gaming sensation Candy Crush Saga who nabbed the prize for 'Breakout of the Year'.
We then got all starry eyed as Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, took to the stage to present the final 'Lifetime Achievement' award to fellow internet legend, Vic Hayes - the man who invented Wifi.
In fact, it was calculated that all the people, companies and agencies in the room combined had a total reach of 30bn people. Probably not the most precise estimate, but impressive none the less.
