Cannes can be a place of overwhelming choices: pools, parties and restaurants are abundant, and that's before you've started to think about what's going on at the Palais. So to help you get the most out of your time there, here are the Contagious team's picks of this year's seminars.

What if everyone else is doing it wrong? 

16:00-16:45 Lumiere Theatre

Stinkdigital CEO Mark Pytlik is joined by Byron Sharp, professor of marketing science at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute. The pair will explore the themes of Sharp's seminal book How Brands Grow,  which challenges assumptions around efficacy and creativity. 


Samsung Presents: A VR Creators Experience
12:00-12:45 Lumiere Theatre

Virtual reality was a hot-topic at last year's festival, with Google Cardboard winning the Mobile Grand Prix. This year, Samsung Electronics America's CMO, Marc Mathieu, will showcase VR experiences and demonstrate the tech's potential for storytelling. 

Raves and Mades: New Creativity Standards for the Future

Professor Jerry Wind and Catharine Hays, co-founders of the Wharton Future of Advertising Program and co-authors of Beyond Advertising: Creating Value Through All Customer Touchpoints, put forward their vision for the future of advertising, based on their Advertising 2020 Project. 

Cracking the Code of Creativity

Contagious Insider director Will Sansom and Razorfish CCO Daniel Bonner ask how much we really know about creativity, in a session that investigates the past 25 years of award-winning Cannes campaigns. Read more about the session here.
