Tara Hirebet lands at Contagious Singapore

Contagious Communications is pleased to announce that Tara Hirebet has joined the company’s Asia-Pacific office as strategic lead

Based in Singapore, Hirebet will spearhead the Contagious Insider consultancy division. Her primary responsibilities will be to bring Contagious’ fresh, progressive take on advertising, technology and consumer culture to the region, via bespoke consultancy projects that include trend tracking and advisory briefings, innovation workshops and training programmes for brands and agencies.
Hirebet will also ensure that the London-based editorial team of Contagious Magazine and the company’s collaborative research platform Contagious I/O are kept informed of the most creative marketing campaigns and innovative new technologies and businesses coming out of Asia and Australia.

Paul Kemp-Robertson, co-founder and editorial director of Contagious, says: ‘We’re delighted that someone with Tara’s energy, experience and talent will be leading our consultancy and editorial services in Asia-Pacific. Her presence will mean that the Contagious business is ideally placed to deliver hands-on strategic consultancy, insights and editorial intelligence to effect change in local and regional companies.’ 

Hirebet brings with her a 10-year eclectic background in copywriting and advertising, market research, trends, foresight and innovation having worked for agencies including Ogilvy, TBWA, Flamingo Shanghai and Beijing-based youth consultancy China Youthology. After three years in China, Tara returned to Singapore, where she helped to set up its APAC regional office. Most recently, she was a freelance senior consultant at WPP’s The Futures Company. Hirebet is frequently invited to speak as an Asian expert both regionally and globally, discussing Asian trends, consumers and urban innovation. These events have ranged from SXSW 2014 to TEDx Women and TEDx City 2.0, the Mashable Social Good Summit Singapore and the UNDP.
